I knew from an early age I wanted to be a physician. What I didn’t know and hadn’t planned, was to become a cardiologist. My desire to make a meaningful impact on people’s lives coupled with my love of hemodynamics of the cardiovascular system came together and led me to this field. I approach patient care as a team effort. While I have the education and training to understand how the human body functions, it is the patient that best understands how their own body feels. By paying attention to what the patient is saying and using evidence-based medicine tailored to my patient’s needs, I can make the correct diagnosis and appropriate treatment. Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, being outside, trying new food and traveling.
