It was there that I realized I wanted to become a doctor. After doing a brief post-baccalaureate and spending a year working at a federally qualified health center, the West Coast became my home for five years while I got my medical and master of public health degrees. I was able to return to Vietnam a few more times during school, where I got to learn from amazingly talented physicians and discover my passion for global health. While I miss California, I am thrilled to be back on the East Coast. Family medicine found me during my first year of medical school, and after that, I was hooked. I cant wait to keep exploring what it means to provide high-quality primary care to underserved communities.
