I grew up in Long Island, New York. My love for nursing started in high school. I was fortunate to obtain a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certificate with my high school diploma. While continuing my education, I was able to work in various pediatric settings including emergency medicine, intensive care, ambulatory care, home care and long term care. Once I became a Nurse Practitioner, I moved to North Carolina, and my first opportunity to practice was in a pediatric hospital. I then found my passion for primary care. As a military spouse, I worked in various cities in the United States caring for children of our Armed Forces members. Once we retired, I return to North Carolina, my favorite state in all my travels. It is my passion to care for children in this community, specifically helping new moms successfully navigate through their parenting experience. I am currently pursuing a doctorate and plan to graduate in 2021. When Im not working or studying, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially my granddaughter because we share similar passions.
